Problems with these engines? g2moto 140, 150, evos 140 piranah 150, 160, z155

I want to hear about your problems with these engines. Right now I'm leaning towards the g2moto 140 as I haven't heard too much negative about it, though the big piranha 150 and 160 are intriuging I've heard a lot about noisy bottom ends and broken shi!. Evos yx140? z155's also sound cool, but a lot of tranny problems resonate around the boards. What's your take, what have you bought liked disliked, what has been flawless for u?

not to thread jack but have you or anyone else tried the 140 motor compared to the stock 125 gpx/thumpstar type motor? I am wondering if there is a nice little boost in power or are they pretty damn similar...thanks

Yes. I had a jialing 125 and built it to a 146cc and added a big valve head. it was a big difference. The I got a g2moto 140 and its about the same as my 125 that was built to a 146. These new 140s are basically like a built 125/146. They are noticibly faster than the 125s....the kicker is they are cheaper than the 125s!

we have been here since the start providing info on these pitbike engine

basicall the yx140cc like G2 moto , Evos KRP and Piranha have been a very sturdy and a good choice for replacment pit bike motors

the yx 140cc is just like a GPX 124cc with a bigger valve 27/23 head and bigger bore

add a tbwo300 cam and you have a very strong motor for a buget

honda type head

the YX DTE 5 is also a great choice since its longer stoke / lighter crank makes it snappy and you have easy access to the oil filter , currently availible in Piranha logo

(if your buying new make sure its from a dealer so you get the full warranty)

Honda type head

the bigger you go the more costly

the ZS155cc is very strong , very sturdy with very few problems and its covered under warrenty IF you buy from dealer

KLX type head

YX 160 has proven to be over its growing pains in this current batch

KLX type head

let me know if you have questions or need help
