Hello! I'm working on some ideas for some of our events coming up in 2010 and I'm wondering if there's enough interest/participants to have some pit bike races as part of our shows in certain areas...

The cities I'm looking at include:

Des Moines, IA

Kansas City, MO

Wilkes-Barre, PA

Providence, RI

Thoughts?

Thanks all!

I would in Des Moines, IA and Kansas City, MO as long it does not clash with any of our other dates.

The tracks won't be a full-on motocross/supercross style (since we have crush car lanes in them for the monsters)...at these venues, we're usually inside dasher boards (for hockey) with dirt floors and have a course laid out for quads to run on as part of the show...

What I'm looking for is something to add into our pre-show...something our fans may not have seen before, something cool and new...so ideally, I'd like to have 8-12 riders at each event and run them on the quad track for a heat and a main...

The four venues that I've listed are the ones that I'm the Event Manager for, and having seen pit bike racing back when I did the RMR series (and on TV as well) I thought it would be a neat addition to these shows, if the interest is there...

Anyone who's interested can contact me directly via email at pszmal@feldinc.com or at my office outside Chicago at (630) 566-6433 weekdays and I'd be glad to discuss things further...

Thanks!

I think it is possible to get that many riders, we just need to spread the word.

So your saying we'll be be doing circles. You want to give your audiance a new sport let it be as intended to be atleast a few jumps. Rich and the boys will already be there the dirt is there after were done spread it back out for the big trucks. The last thing to do is water down something for new audiance. I still hate the fact that this was done to supercross. I might help if........

T719mx,

We do have jumps on the quad tracks that we create around the crush car lanes for the monster trucks...and in many cases, we run what amounts to a 'U-within-a-U' layout for them that incorporates turns both left and right, sweeping and hairpin.

The way our shows flow, we don't have the option of moving mass quantities of dirt once the doors open, so we need to have a track that can co-exist with what the monster trucks use.

That may not be the answer that you were looking for...but it is, for practical purposes, what we have to deal with...better to have that out in the open to start with, so I'm glad you brought it up...

I think it will be fun and it is good to see, that someone else wants to do something to help our sport, I know Ill be there so with the 5 to 6 NE guys it all ready makes for 6-7 riders and I know of some Ia dudes that will be there too, so I can see 12 easy for those 2 events. :D:D
