Im gonna second the Ugly comment. I remember then kindaaa taking off in 00' and 01'. They were all over the pits around the FL motocross scene. Kyle Chisholm was the first to buy one that I can remember. Bought it for his lil brother to ride. But he would always tear it up.
My buddy has a really ragged out one that he rides. He broke the stock foot pegs off the other day. Now he rides with his left foot on the case and still does all the jumps.
Ugly yes I do agree. But they do seem pretty sound, this one my friend has, has been beat to hell and still runs pretty good. Aside from when we hold it pinned for so long in my field it eventually shuts down for a few minutes lol.
I speak from experience. I have one of these dinosaurs. The reason they never took off is because they are uglier than sin and they are as heavy as a tank. I have bought everything there is to buy except a big bore kit and it still cant clear jumps that my stock 50 can. It is easier to jump a utility 4-wheeler than a ttr 90.
the first time i jumped a big bicycle style jump was actually on a TTR90 that was bone stock. I thought the bike was really easy to ride. But now i can't hardly sit on one. Plus they are ugly.
yea, aside from being heavy and just plain ugly they are a really good bike. lots of power and very durable. maybe i dont like them very much because i got a TTR 50 now.
