Anybody ever really wonder why the TTR90 ever took off like the CRF70 or KLX110? There the same class and size bike, but why were they left behind.

Im gonna second the Ugly comment. I remember then kindaaa taking off in 00' and 01'. They were all over the pits around the FL motocross scene. Kyle Chisholm was the first to buy one that I can remember. Bought it for his lil brother to ride. But he would always tear it up.

Ugly yes I do agree. But they do seem pretty sound, this one my friend has, has been beat to hell and still runs pretty good. Aside from when we hold it pinned for so long in my field it eventually shuts down for a few minutes lol.

I speak from experience. I have one of these dinosaurs. The reason they never took off is because they are uglier than sin and they are as heavy as a tank. I have bought everything there is to buy except a big bore kit and it still cant clear jumps that my stock 50 can. It is easier to jump a utility 4-wheeler than a ttr 90.

now...i wouldnt say that

my first time on a track,i got second place in 65 7-11...on a bone stock 02 ttr90

full line of kx65's and ktm 65's...and just that one kid was toooo fast.

pretty amazing huh?

mabey you just think their ugly,i kinda like em,im a yamaha guy.and, heavy,no way.no more then a klx.

i loved my ttr.very strong, sound.its also won ever drag thrown at it...ttr125's,xr100's,xr50's,xr70's....never lost

i LOVED that little thing

I swear that those littel bikes have the most stock torque of any midsize, even over the 110s.

I know that those things dont fall apart, our friends, the 4 girls, bash that thing around all the time and its never broken.

Yea, they arent any heavier than a KLZ110, now talk about feelingn like a tank, I had to move one at the shop today and god damn, it outweighs a KX85.

The 90 does have a very strong motor for it only being a 90 though.

yea, aside from being heavy and just plain ugly they are a really good bike. lots of power and very durable. maybe i dont like them very much because i got a TTR 50 now. :D :D
