will i need feeler gauges for installing the tb88kit stockhead?

hey guys question on my tb 88 stock head build, ive been reading about it and watching videos, before i do it, am i going to need feeler gauges since its just the stock head? or will i be alright without them?

they are so cheap a set is always good to have around if your running a 4 stroke..

parts store or Sears sell a full set.

you will need to set the valve lash, they dont cost too much and they are good to have in your tool box

A must have if you own 4 strokes. Valves need to be adjusted from time to time.

Anytime that you disturb any part of the motor internall its just cheap insurance to check the lash.

does anyone know how many sheets of paper will work i herd of this trick on another website, cause until i can get the parts id like to just use the paper technique

If you don't have a set of feeler gauges you can use a soda can as the metal used is roughly .0035 which will get you right where you need to be.

Use the whole phone book, to find an auto parts store and buy a $2 feeler gauge.

yes yes i know i already said im going to go get it in the morning,,, i herd from someone i could you pieces of paper but ive thought about it and im just gona get the feeler gauges, hopefully it fixes my problem

yeah i noticed... because i was being a total dumb ass as i usually am and said **** it since i wasnt messing with the cam at all so now i gota pay the price and hopefully ill be able to correct my error

as long as the valves didnt hit the top of the piston to bad...take the head off and double check.. then put it at tdc and have the t lined up on the timeing mark on the case then do the cam sprocket
