Okay so I threw this thing together with a bunch of super cheap pit bike parts and an ebay item or two.

I thought I was going to have to fab a bracket for the rear master cylinder but I just drilled and tapped two 4mm holes in the frame and it works perfectly.

There was small amount of grinding and some axle-spacer-roulette but I'm all lined up and pretty jazzed about how the budget build came out. It was like using Kawasaki parts on a Yamaha. Actually, it was using "ching-dong-hua-ping" parts on a Honda.

As you can see I used the most radical, flamboyant, money, hook-up, bling, graphics I could find.

All I need is a new chain and to figure out why my clutch is slipping at high speeds and she is done. Maybe a more comfortable seat.....

On to more serious business - the ZB50......

Cool build! So you have 3 plated minis now. That's great! Where do you ride? I'm right over the Antioch bridge in Oakley.

Mainly on the street these days. There are some great twistys up in the Vacaville hills behind my neighborhood.

I am hoping to get together with some Bay Area mini riders this Fall. Let me know!

Alright, this is what I have to start with. A 2003 XR50. The VIN and the licence plate are like gold in CA so I have to work with this stock frame.

Dude. That is the picture BEFORE I built it. It now has 12" wheels, disk brakes, and looks better.

It is also for sale. Come and get it.
