Engine:



  1. Bone Stock with 20hrs on the motor and was bought off a Factory Honda Formula One Mechanic (For OEM Honda) so the bike was very well maintaned



Suspension:



  1. Front forks have the BBR heavy springs
  2. Feal Suspension installed heavy springs and revalved the forks

My Ape 200!



  • 200cc liquid Lifan engine
  • KSR Front, had to make an aluminum shaft for the steering head (Honda bearings are a few mm smaller than the KSR's)
  • Wave Brake Rotors front bigger than standard and rear (standard KSR brakes, those are good enough)
  • Cut and modified Ape fram to fit Engine in. You can see the frame tube has a bend in it to make room for the engine. The carb just fits. Not a lot of room to spare, but it does fill the frame nicely.
  • Home made supports for the engine
  • Battery box + battery for electric start
  • Radiator from Honda Sonic 125cc with extra long hoses; in the front there was no room for it, so moved it to the back
  • Modified KSR swing arm: extended 4" removed top brace and added bottom brace, relocated pivot point to get it in line with the sprocket (drilling wasn't easy!). Made a stainless washer that connects to the old pivot point for support
  • Extended the side stand by about 2" (doesn't it look seamless?) with an anodized piece of aluminum
  • One-off exhaust, goes from small to bigger ID in steps
  • Kitaco seat (Veeeeeeery important! Must have a big $ name on it somewhere!) Only it's too thin, don't like it.
  • Chromed KSR wheels with 120 tires
  • Was a budget build, so unfortunately no big$$ brake fluid.
  • I'm sure I forgot something
I'm just breaking in the engine, it is nice and smooth. Gearing I have to adjust, I have now 16/36 but I believe 16/28 would be a lot better. 1st is now useless, but I didn't find 28 or 30 yet.
