are these kits actually bolt on and go without doing any case machining as it claims on faster-minis.com? ive got an 02 klx110 and planning to mod the engine.

plus, would i see a big power increase over stock without getting the race head?

thanks:)

Yes they are bolt on, no case mods needed on a 143 and under kit. Some do not like to mod the 2002 models, because of the clutch, output shaft and trans mission. I and a few others have installed the 143 on a 2002 without any problems. You need basic mechanic skills to do it, because of the timing and all.

timing? im pretty handy and il give anything a go, never taken an engine apart, but i used to fix helicopters in the army so im no spaz with tools. how do you sort the timing out? if i leave the crank alone do i have to worry about it? cheerz

You don't mess with the crank, but there are timing marks in the crank and the cam that have to be lined up a certain way, also the cam has to be set right or you will be 180 out.

I installed the XY head on one of my KLX's and it work great too.

I would put more clutch spring in it, i have never installed a output shaft, but have not had any problems. I know the 08 output shafts are the ones to get, but not sure if it will fit the 02 or not.
