When you are shortening Showas, you dont need to cut tubes or so... You have to add spacers and the lenght spacers are, same lenght you will shorten springs, or buy any other aftermarket according to the size. In most cases are Showa forks shortened at about 2 inch(you are shortening their travel). Which still means 22cm(9inch) of travel...

Second thing are tripples. The bar mounts are much closer to the rider than any other pitbike tripples and the ergonomy is not much good, so in most cases you have to buy adjustable aftermarket upper tripples...

And I heard some people dont like front 1 piston brake, so you can get oversized rotor, spacer and CR(F)250(450) caliper and you will be happy.

I made my own laser cutted spacer for adapt 2piston caliper as found on most pitbikes, and it brakes very good. And if you want to go crazy, buy grimeca 6 piston brake setup;)

use the kyb kawi 85 forks, the tripple clamps will bolt right up to the klx with the moose tapered klx bearing kit, only thing is you will need to kits or purchase the bearings seperatly from all balls, the small bearings and races are what you need, take your frame to a machine shop and they can recess the upper bearing race hole a little further down and it will bolt right on, then all you need to do is shorten the forks with soacers in your cartridge, and get springs made, the kx 65 rim and spoke kit will lace up to an 85 hub, and I much prefer the little kyb to the showas, and the 85 uses a dual piston front brake set up

Hey Bro its me again lol. Look have you actually tested showas with the lowering spacers? I ran across some lowered 2" with spacers. Everything is reversible. I was wondering if you have tested suspension like this on a mx track. I know you run motard and Im sure the requirments are a little different. I figuere Ill run these with 85 lower trip, custom adjustable upper.

HI!

Still wating on parts here from my suspension local mechanic. What I have finished is bracket for front brake, Excel wheels with completely custom made hubs and upper tripple clamp with fatbar risers. Will post soon complete build with detailed descriptions, I think in a week or two it will be complete finished! So I will test them later dor you :D As you say, Iam riding supermoto, but for that I have another machine, This bike with Showas will be used for MX...

I had 2 bikes with zokes, and I m now running Vinco Showas on my 2 new bikes.

The Showas are heavier than the Zokes but they are way more plush and will forgive much more if you are casing or jump. All my supsension has always been tuned to my weight with Ohlins fork oil, and I can tell you the Zokes are no match for the Showas.

This is of course only my opinion, but I have owned and ridden both.

Just hit Kyle up from VincoMX and tell him Ben the french dude is sending you. He ll probably give you a discount on the triples, stem, bearings etc...
