Yeah, I'm in the market for some also. I want to switch back to my stock forks and my SP-5's came with tappered bearings and I want to be able to switch back and forth from stock to aftermarket forks easily.

T Bolt, your bearing kit would be all I would need correct?

wait im just curious, i literally just got my sp-5s n they got the bearings...can i just put them right on, i got the stock forks on now

yeah what superdave said. you can take a long screw driver or something like that and you have to knock out the old races (look like a bowl with a hole in the middle) and then install the new races into the neck, and you will probably have to pound them in so make sure you use something to pad the race like a block or wood or something so you don't damage the race putting it in. And make sure you put them in so they taper in toward the middle

n longmooie sorry for thread jackin didnt mean to

Its cool as its the same topic:)

i got a set of speed forks coming and the guy said he left the tapered bearing on but i would need new races for them.

as long as you have tapered bearings and tapered races you wont need anything

just remove the old races and install the tapered races
