Honda 72cc motor, stock bore and stroke

Powroll Piston

Cylinder shaved .020"

Lifan 70 head with very mild port work

Kitaco 20mm intake sans spacer/heat shield and mild port work

Kitaco Inner Rotor Kit - 0 deg advance (still have to dial it in)

Mikuni VM20 carb

Big Gun exhaust

There is more HP to be had in this motor, I just have to find the current flow bottleneck that chokes it off above 8k rpm... If I can hold 4ft/lbs out to 11k, thats 8.3hp. : )

The spark must have been set wrong on that dyno. The torque and hp curves should cross at 5150rpm.

They do, but the way the graph is scaled you don't see it the way you'd expect. HP and torque should equal at 5150 RPM as you said. If you look at the chart... at 5150 RPM I'm making approx 3.5ft/lbs of torque (right scale) and 3.5hp (left scale). Had WinPEP used the same scale for both torque and HP, a lot of the detail would have been lost on the torque curve as it'd occupy a 1" strip down near the bottom.

Yes it is, might have something to do with the definitions of torque and HP... The exact constant when using HP and torque in ft/lbs is 5252, but 5150 is close enough to catch a fake. : )

Dyno Sheet for Vicious 50 97cc Engine

Here's a Baseline run of the 98cc motor. These tests were done using an 18mm carb and a Big Gun pipe. I'm guessing we'll pick up at least another 2hp with porting, cam and a big carb. - Mike Crow, CrowerPower.com

I have been running this motor for about 5 months now with the Kitaco Inner Rotor Kit, Kitaco CDI, 20mm carb and Two Bros Pipe. This motor has performed awesome. And for the price.....there is nothing better!

Here is my 108 that I just built. Ray from RJP (Ray) did the honors...

Runing a CH Pipe, 24mm and a TB CDI. Everything has been coated by www.Replikamaschinen.com , And I mean everything. I will be doing a full review soon with a buttload of before and after pics.

I know the HP and the Torque are not crossing at the right point. And I don't understand it. Every time I get a dyno done it is always wrong where the HP and torque cross :x

I will getting a hold of Jeff over at Minigunz soon to see what else I can get out of this motor.

They are matching at 5252 rpm, there are just different scales for torque and HP on the chart, so you have to look at the numbers carefully. In this case, they are crossing at approx 5.75hp - ft/lbs torque.

Yeah I missed that the first time. What he is saying is for the lines to cross at 5150 or 5252 (whichever you wanna call it), the number scale on the left and right side of the chart has to be the same. They were altered on some of the graphs to get the hp and torque curves in the same area. Mine crosses at the right point because the numbers are the same on the left and right.

By the way this is my stock Lifan 124 motor with a Ti-Force pipe and inner rotor.

DDEFFES - Viscious 98 - 6.2HP

MARKS - AHP 107 - 8.3HP

FIDDYCRAZYs - TB108 - 9.4HP

Knowing that I just beat them all with my prototype electric motor with a clapped out chain and low tire pressure - priceless.

9.88HP!!!

We were not able to measure torque because I dont have spark to connect and get RPM. I am sure there is a mathematical way to derive it using the MPH, HP, tire circumference or something. Z - can you help me here?

Faster than your bike and quieter than your cordless drill. Read it and weep boys and girls. Thanks to Dan and Mike at Crower for putting the bike on their dyno for me.

Yeah, if you can reverse back to motor RPM, you can then determine torque. The torque should be fairly linear for an electric motor, although the curve you're showing suggests you have something more complex than a basic straight torque line going on. Figure out motor rpm in 5mph increments and post 'em and I'll give you a torque/hp chart from it.

sure. they are completely sealed and until I grind a hole in one it should not be a problem. I will have to go through the 1/4" aluminum skeleton first so I am not too worried about it.

... or I can just not wreck.
