Stock Stroke, 54mm bore, why not?

88kits (52mm bore) seem pretty popular, anyone mucked with a 54mm piston on a stock crank (95cc)? I know I have to bore my cases, but I'll be using new cases anyways so I'm not concerned.

I'm looking to make a mild 'play' motor with my spare bits. I have a good crank and 4spd bottom end, and will use a stock ignition setup along with my tweaked auto clutch. I want more than 4hp, but I don't wanna go crazy, so I'm thinking a nice revvy 95cc will be a fun toy. Anyone tried this combo?

Takegawa has made this kit for a while, dosen't seem to popular.

Figure if ya gotta bore the cases, might as well stroke it?

try to keep the stroke and bore matched. over 4 hp? Just do a TB 88 then. lol. 5hoes bike Dyno'd at 8.3 hp with a TB88. With a stock bore pipe on it too.

kyle engle rips on the 95ccsuperhead 8O but whats the point when it can be a 117+cc motor just like that.

its not popular because the case mods needed, and your going to be underbore in most races.

If you had a 95 with a head ported for top end power, a big carb, cam, and an inner rotor....that would probably be the closest a honda 50 motor will get to feeling like a 2 stroke. 8)

I won't be racing this motor, this is my winter put around motor so I can leave the race one on the bench getting tweaked for next spring. : )

I'm just contemplating different setups. I didn't see it mentioned that often, but I like the idea of decent displacement without crazy piston speed.
