thats the thing, with the i-shock i dont have to buy a spring and with the works i would have to buy a spring. but whatever, you also have your opinion and i have mine which is the good opinion

ishocks are like disposable shocks, require 75$ rebuilds every 6 months. thats pretty danm steep. my buddy had his for a few months and it started sucking bad. blew through all the travel and hit the bumpstop hard. i put a works on it. he kinda didnt want to but i talked him into trying it. after the first ride he bought it off me. his style improved because he was more confident on the bike. if u want to blow the ishock out the water, ride an elka.

They are talking about the cheaper version of the works shock. Also if you order directly from works they will valve it and set it up for your weight. For example my shock is valved for 185lbs and a +2 swinger.Needless to say it works awesome.

i run an ishock regular, the local shop carries them and we get a pretty good deal, were not very serious though, some back yard jump, and i do some motard racing as well, and the ishock holds up, its not the best, but its definaly a good step up from the stock shock! :p for a back yard weekend rider i coudlnt justify spending 300 to 500 for the best when the ishock would do the job just as well for my riding

as weekend back yard riders, we havent had any problems with them breaking yet either (although none of ours have more than 1.5 seasons on them), but we arent serious riders, some 4' jumps, some wheelies, then its miller time.... :p

Works is a perfect match for SP5 forks.Get the 70 version of the shock. Its longer and has more travel. But you do have to bend the subframe with is a pain.I used a hydraluic spreader and some heat and it went like butter.

I don't know about perfect, and from what I've read it's far from it, but I'm using an I-shock with a Five-0 70 swing arm with my SP-5s and a 12" front. It sits level with the forks all the way down in the clamps. I'm not a racer and don't do big air and only weigh around 130-140# and it seems fine although I maybe should have gone with the 350# spring because of the extra leverage from the longer SA. I don't have a lot to compare it to since this is the first mini I've ever owned or ridden (ridden big bikes for well over 20 yrs though) but I don't have any complaints. I'm sure there are better choices out there for more money and I may upgrade in the future when and if I decide that it's necessary but for now I'm satisfied with my set-up, for the price. But then again I'm just play riding in my backyard with my daughter.
