Well I'm almost done with just a few more things left to do. Hopefully I'll get a chance to finish and fire this puppy up tonight.

Sorry for the crappy, cluttered pic but I just snapped this picture late at night when I finished. I'll be getting a few more shots with a better background in the near future.

looks like one pretty badddd ass makeover if you ask me. thats what my fiddy looked like when I got it too! Wish mine was as pretty as yours is now. Just out of curiosity, what kinda dollar amount have you reached with what youve done? NICE BIKE.

Well, yeah basically. The hubs, rear brake lever, rear axle, engine lower end minus the crank (got a stroker in it now), wiring harness, peg mount and pegs (for now) and a few nuts and bolts are the only stock items left. But then again I bought the whole bike for around $600 a couple months ago and I fugured it would be easier this way than trying to get the parts girl at the local dealer to order the right stuff that I would need to complete a bike from scratch. I've been accumulating parts for the last couple of months but didn't start the build until my engine parts arrived last Tues. I had the engine build finished last Thursday night and then starting putting everything together. This pic was taken this past Monday night when I finally sat the seat and plastics on it to see what the final result would look like. I still have a few things to do like adjust the clutch, put on the shift lever, adjust the chain, put in oil and a spark plug. Then, hopefully, it'll be ready to rip. Right now it still has the stock CDI too. I ordered a new one from Mark at AHP along with a bunch of other stuff but somehow the CDI got left out of the box. But I figure the stock unit will work fine and keep me from revving it too high during break-in anyway and until Mark sends me the new one.

Thanks for the compliments, I'm pretty pleased with the way it's turned out so far.

I honestly don't know. When I started this little project I figured it would be best not to keep up with it or else I might change my mind. I have all, or most of the invoices laying around my garage in various boxes that the parts came in if I wanted to add it all up but I have no plans to do so. I'll probably gather up the receipts, put them in an envelope for safe keeping just in case. It would probably make me sick if I figured it up. I didn't go too crazy though and tried to find good deals on what I could. So there are lots of guys on here with lots more in their bikes than me.
