hey guys i bought this bike off of a buddy, he said the kickstart is bad, so i took off the clutch cover thing and noticed that the teeth were good on the gears they just kind of seperate from each other when you kick it and it grinds. my question is there any cheap way of fixing this, or is there an alternative to kickstarting the bike, i tried push starting the bike but the back tire just locks up. Oh and where do i get a stupid spanner socket to get the clutch basket out.

i got this bike basically gave to me, so i dont want to dump any money into it really, i just want to play around on it. is there a trick to getting the clutch basket it stay still when trying to get the nut off. THanks for the fast replys

craftsman strap wrench...or sumn similar...some people will wedge a penny (or screwdriver) between the crank gear and the clutch basket gear but a strap wrench works fine....might could make one out of an old leather belt or a car fan belt and some vise grip pliers to take up the slack and sumn to hold on to

yeah you got a '04 early '05 107...known for what you had explained...there is a repair kit for that and it involves tearing the motor completely down replacing that shaft and the case 1/2 it rides in....design fault of Lifan...you can use a later model 107 or a 125 Lifan bottom end to repair it..other than that the motor is just parts.....
