I think Wraith is using the Mikuni-clone carb pictured in a post above, which has a fuel screw located on the front underside of the carb, directly in front of the float bowl.
But those are the same setup..screwing it in richens the carb and screwing it out leans the carb...It is not a fuel screw..it it is just an air screw on the 22 oval bore Mikunis.

oh ok, well theres a better way to fine tune it.

get the bike warmed up, then turn the idle up to a nice n steadt high idel. turn the screw in until the rpms start to drop, then from that point, start backing it out until the rpms start to rise and keep going until the rpms stop rising and you have a nice steady high idle. turn the idle back down to normal.

Yeah that is the best way to set the air screw..unfortunately unless you have a small steady hand and and small flex driver to reach that screw it is almost impossible to set with the bike running. Most times it has to be removed just to get to it.

^^^ i hear ya. i cant turn the idle up and the fuel mix screw up at same time. cause the stupid idle screw is at the bottom of the carb and have to remove it, to get to it. HOW DO I GET RID OF THE HESITATION ON THE BOTTOM WHEN I SLIGHTLY GET ON THE THROTTLE? IT DOES THIS ON MY OTHER BIKE AND DRIVES ME CRAZY SOMETIMES. BUT THE BIKE DOES RUN GREAT THOUGH.

ok, i checked the jet sizes in the bike. i had a 17.5 pilot and a 92.5 main. i put a 100 main in it and left the 17.5 pilot in it. it didnt really seem to get better. i dont have anymore main or pilot jets available. i ordered a 110 main from vince at tboltusa but havent got it yet. i also tried adj the air/fuel mix screw and once again nothing. its sputtering at the top. so what now?

sputters at the top as in 4th gear under load? or just free revving in neutral?

try the bigger main when you get it or try raising up the needle until the jets come in. or if your really bored, take one of your smaller jets and drill it out just slightly bigger than the 100.

i found a 105 main at my dads and thew it in the carb. it did the trick. no sputters at the top end. now iv got a bit of a bog or lose of power at bottom end when going threw corners. so what you think?

good to know. Throttle response should be based upon the pilot or air screw. now that youve got the main setup, do the air screw adjustment again according to the procedures posted previously. just make sure motor is warmed up first. does it start first kick most of the time?

^^^ yeah it starts first kick every time. i have already adj. the fuel screw. i played around with it for bout 30min yesterday. no change at all. i even made drastic screw changes juct to see what would happen.

hey guys, i've found all this information useful so i was going to do some jetting (keihin 22mm) but when i took the pilot out it was plugged to where i couldn't clean it out. i have been looking for the jet and i can not find it. i've looked for 2 days. the head of it is like 4mm and its 28mm long. also i can not find the main. it has a round head and a few mm down it has the part to put the socket on. if anyone could help it would be great. cuz i can't ride until i get the pilot figured out. thanks
