Here is some more sweet news about the 09's:

1. comes standard with a magnetic oil plug. :)

2. comes standard with a rear rim lock

3. front brake has three adjustments not two

I rode this bike for about an hour and a half today and it's so much fun but my jumps are too small for it, now I gotta haul in more dirt... :)

Wraith I have no idea what you're talking about, but you definately got a burr up your bum, I ordered my bike and got it, and my buddy Brandon ordered his bike and got his, and last year when I ordered my 2008 bike I got it, and Onlydirt got his in 08 and so did all ten members of the motovert social group here on planet minis.

If you got your money back order an 09' they freakin rip!

Yeah I got mine in. It took a few weeks but it was worth the wait.

They are not "perfect" but damn close for the price. I only bought mine because I met Tommy, and i know for a fact he is a good guy. If there were something seriously wrong with the bike, he would do something to help fix it.

I have ridden the bike at a sand pit with big bikes, and it keeps up pretty good, and jumps awesome. I let the air out of my forks today and broke both the air bleeder screws. The rear side plastics are both shattered. My magnetic drain plug fell out in the sand pit. I lot a few nuts and bolts. I really should have put the loctite on before I went out riding, but that is my fault. I don't blame Motovert or Tommy for any of the problems so far. Like Tyson said the bike is a BLAST.

I spent about 2 hours taking out every bolt and lock tighting everything, most of the bolts on the 09' have lock washers but I wasn't taking any chances! This is my 4th pit bike and my second motovert and I found out early on, to be happy, you need to spend the time it takes to lock tight.

Common bolts that come loose:

1. the two rear bolts on the chain guide on the rear tire

2. the four bolts on the foot peg mounts

3. the engine mount bolts that attach to the frame (on the silver triangle)

4. the two nuts on the mud flap.

Of the four bikes I've owned these are the one's that can vibrate out.

Were going to ride all afternoon today, it's sunny and 81, were going to take some good shots of the 09' in action, I'll post the link to the thread I post this evening.

LOL, I didn't know what that red bottle was with all the china symbols on it, and no I didn't use it, I figured it was left over nuclear waste China is trying to get rid of... :)

I only use the blue locktight, and I double nut the bolts on the exhaust from the head.

Onlydirt what do you red lock tight?

my son tylor has been racing his 09 in several events and loves the bike. so far the only thing we've done is locktite all reletive bolts change all fluids with american and raced it. the bike is solid and powerful so far its 4 for 4 in holeshots and won two motos. i know for sure tommy is busting his ass fixing every motor before they go out so that you have a great product. we love ours and stick behind them all the way.

After working out almost all the bugs I have to say this is an amazing bike.

I still need to change my fork oil, I bottom out when I hit the big jump at the pits I have been riding at, but this is a big bike bike jump! It handles lots of sand, but gets hot quick in those conditions, so I take frequent breaks. I basically ride at the Southwick practice area, everyone from the tri state are comes here to practice on big bikes beacuse it has DEEP sand, lots of berms, hillside berms, and a few jumps. We riode for hours Saturday and Sunday, and if my body can handle it we are going back today.

If you have ordered a MotoVert recently here are my suggestions before you take your first ride. All of this should be able to get done in a couple hours, and will save you many many hours of dealing with headaches.

1) change the brake fluid. PM me if you don't know how.

2) change the fork oil

3) change the motor oil

4) tighten just about every bolt with loctite

5) glue on grips and the kickstart rubber

6) blow out gas tank with compressed air.

7) add a fuel filter

8 oil the air filter

9) set front and rear suspension to your weight

10) set your carb to your climate.

Then your ready to rock

Before you ride each time check all your bolts, especially oil drain plug, and oil level, and your good. It is a sturdy bike and handles well. I am really happy with it so far.

bike will be there tomorrow, or wednesday, it's memorial day weekend. Call saia and find out, tell them your name and address and tommy's and they can tell you where it is.

Just go to saia.com and give them a jingle.

I think YX just tried to push the envelope too fast, they probably left the weak internals in there that could handle the 125's maybe the 150's and figured they would hold. Then all they do is say sorry, don't return anyone's phone calls and ship you out the parts you need to fix it, and they want to be thanked for it!

America works a lot different than that.

Kudos to Tommy, he's da man. I will always buy all my stuff through him.
