What he Said ^ . To clean the carb and jets just turn off your gas petcock, drain the gas into a tank or bottle by unscrewing the lowest screw on the carb at the very bottom on the bowl - the gas will come out the tube coming from the side of this screw running down to the ground. Then unscrew the two screws holding the bowl on and take the bowl off. Then you see on the main part of the carb right in the middle there is a gold/copper looking screw with a hole in the middle. That is the main jet.FastMC said:If the carb is green inside from sitting a long time, Chem-dip or Yamaha carb soak works the best. If you just have loose crud in there then the spray works ok. Toughest to clean is the pilot jet. You need a tiny wire, guitar string or jet cleaner if it's really plugged up. As stated above: 1 to 1 1/2 turns from seated on the air screw.
