hey guys i seen a couple pics of what looks to be a new 2005 SDG Speed Mini, it looks like the motor is a different color and the disc brakes are different as well as it has white number plates on it??? anyone have any info on this?? I have a 2004 SDG speed mini but I would like to know if they are releasing a 2005 model??

Im not sure when they plan on releasing the 05 Speed Mini, but i CAN tell you that they have released the 05 Pro and Lil Minis... I have the Pro and it RIPS! The frame is completly different than the other two models and i love having the bigger wheels

They should also try replacing their customer service while they are at it... :D

WOW! Hey everybody- I guess if you wanted to know PERFECT way to run a mini bike business then you should talk to five0addict and miniman... five0addict seems to know all the tricks to building his kick-ass Honda, he probably starts by buying one brand new, then replaces: foot pegs, foot peg mounts, rear shock, front forks, rims, spokes, triple clamps, inner rotor kit, swing arm, exhaust, and installs a big bore kit. five0addict's Honda is probably the best 50 this site has ever seen... theres only one problem, if five0addict didnt replace all that stuff (and probably more) then the STOCK HONDA wouldnt have had enough power to get out of it's own way!!! Then when you want to know how customer service should be handled, call miniman. He seems to have ALL the answers in that department. I wonder if when he crashes his truck (assuming he is old enough to drive) into a tree, he calls the manufacturer DIRECTLY? If you have problems with your bike, CALL YOUR DEALER!!! Thats what they are there for...SDG is in California, do you really think they have the time and ability to diagnose your particular problem over the phone?! Is SDG psychic? I think not. The Speed Mini that these guys CONTANTLY bash on, is a bike right out of the crate! Its also only 2 YEARS OLD. This means that all of the aftermarket manufacutures have not had a chance to fit their product to the SDG yet. With a combined GRAND TOTAL of 5592 posts on this site alone, I'm surprized that either one of these guys has the time to ride their "Hondas".

wow!!! are ya jelous

u didnt answer my question.

how i built my bike is how I wanted it. its taken a long time to get it where it is now, and im glad i stuck with it. i could build my whole bike again and it wouldnt cost more than 4g's (at retail) my bike is on a different level than the sdg, so i dont compare.

BUT if i was comparing getting the sdg up to what my bike is doing would take more money to built the sdg, and LOTS more headaches with custom fabrication.

sdg psycic? id hope they are starting to understand whats breaking on there bikes.

u say go to the dealer..

what if the dealer is an ASS and wont help anymore than calling sdg direct? this is where my buddy is right now and now its probly too late to fix this hunk of metal in the shed.

hes STILL paying for the bike, and its broken long ago. thats not a good feeling.

please answer some questions and respond to some points without making yourself look like an ass

Your bike is on a different level than SDG? No Shit! Comparing your bike to the SDG is like comparing a desert Trophy truck to my F-150... sure, theyre both F-150's but the differences are night and day. Why would the SDG cost more $$$? It already comes with a lot of the hop-up parts: Tall seat, disc brakes, longer swing arm, taller bars.....etc.etc. I'm sure that SDG realizes that there are weak points on their machines, thats why they STOPPED production half way through 2004 to make corrections... and then in 2005, the bikes will come with billet triple clamps and the 12" front wheel. "What if the dealer is an ASS?" If your dealer is an ass then you probably pissed them off, or is that----you always purchase product from dealers who are not helpful and who dont apprechiate your business??? I dont think that i came off as an ASS in my first message, nor have i in my second message. Lemme know what you ALL think, am i off base? Dont just stand up for your Honda because you have one either... thats a weak argument! I invite everyone to comment on whats being said, but please, stick to the facts!

you brought up my bike! lol

but "foot pegs, foot peg mounts, rear shock, front forks, rims, spokes, triple clamps, inner rotor kit, swing arm, exhaust, and installs a big bore kit"

most of these things need to be replaced on the sdg. that is the problem.

actually how i heard it the dealer got in a pissbitch fight with sdg because all the bikes were breaking. now the dealer cant/wont help. the dealer is good, sell more hondas than anyone in the area, but cant deal with sdg.. we tryed explaining this to sdg but they just dont give a shit so were stuck. IF sdg helped out i probly wouldnt hate them so much, but under the curcumstances they should have made an exeption.

:x

So because you pissed off the one dealer within 50 miles of BFE NorCal youre screwed. I would love to know which dealer you were working with. As far as the parts you quoted me on: Foot pegs: SDG's pegs are at the very least comprable to the CRF's pegs. Foot peg mount: I have yet to hear of someone bending the 05 mount, but its only a matter of time before some donkey tries to jump over his school bus and bend the mount. Rear shock: the Honda rear shock is a piece of shit too! I have NEVER stood up for the SDG rear shock, its a freakin paper weight! The front forks, rims and spokes are just as good if not better than the CRF. The 2005 Speed Mini comes with BILLET clamps, theres nothing better than that! Inner rotor kit: NO bike comes with an inner rotor kit. Exhaust: The exhaust on the SDG is better than the CRF stock. What if SDG made an "exception" to every consumer who pissed off their dealer? :?: SDG might as well send out plane tickets to everyone who bought their bikes so that they can come to SDG and take the parts they need right off the shelf! Now that i have addressed your issues, the ball is in your court five0...

Little do you know freeagent I own a SDG, and have been riding it now for about 7 months... You should get your facts straight before you talk sh!t. You know and I know that their customer service sucks. Let me give you a couple examples, I have ordered parts through the local dealer near me and it always seems to take weeks to get my parts when they are only 30 miles away. I don't understand what the problem is??? My most recent issue was that I ordered a rear wheel from them about 7 weeks ago and I barely got it yesterday... 8O The local dealer that I ordered if from had to fax them the order 3 times, I don't know if SDG kept loosing it or what. Also the the shop where I ordered it from had to call them to see WTF was going on. They finally sent the wheel and it looked used, it was probably off one of their bikes. So if that is not poor service than what is, and I also forgot to mention the time I called them and was given an attitude.... its not my fault their bikes are falling apart is it... :D

On a good note.... I have to say is that owning a SDG caused me to build a kick aZZ honda... 8O

Which dealer are you dealing with? Who is to say that the dealer hasnt dropped the ball and then blamed SDG when the consumer came through their front door all pissed off? How can you automatically assume that the dealer is not at fault? Do you really think that IF the dealer DID in fact forget to order something, they would OWN up to the mistake? Youre killin me... :?:  :?:

I checked with the dealer every week to see what the status was on my parts. And I also know them well and was there when the order was faxed, thank you. They even gave me a free tube and mounted my tire at no charge to make up for the poor service on SDG's part...

One more thing, do you work for SDG freeagent?

i dont understand why you take so much offence to these facts freeagent.

we also pushed the dealer but now they are no help at all, its not worth trying. why wont sdg replace there own parts?

are they are making the dealers pay for the parts that should be free? if so that would make alot of sence

our dealer? r&r motorsports in paso robles

I don't know what this has to do with it... Corona Motor Sports.

Now why don't you answer my Question!!!! Do you work for SDG??
