My bike was hitting a false neutral between 2nd and 3rd. After taking the clutch off to to examine the case, guess what, there is a crack in the case. It comes off the counter shaft whole and goes slightly down from there.

My question is: What now? Are people usually replacing the case, riding it until it gets worse, welding it, or just buying a new motor?

yep that is the fix......with that strengthend case fix ....just add the decomp mechanism from Pitster and you can build that YX over 200cc with the piece of mind that this is the baddest horizontal engine out there and live to tell about it if you are man enough to ride it......:).
