I picked up the Red Baron black aluminum swingarm today for my 50, and I get home to put it on (stock frame with i-shock) and it doesnt fit. :( The main pivot point is too far apart (almost 1/8th inch) and the other end at the axle...its over an inch too wide. What gives? :? Could this be a factory mess up? Are there supposed to be spacers? Anyone know? I shoulda went with my 1st idea of getting a Sik 50s swinger, but the Red Baron was cheaper. Please help if you can. Thanks.

ive been beating on mine, my axle ajuster bolt broke on the right side. ive almost ground though the box, but thats just from grinds lol

its SUPER light tho! i was surprised its lasted as long as it has, i was really expecting to have it break on me but so far so good :)

sounds like RB needs to work on the fitment of its product huh?

The problem is when aluminum is welded it likes to move around alot due to thermal expansion. Even if they used a good fixture to support the swingarm while being welded it will build up internal forces that will cuase it to warp, or open apart when taken out of the fixture depending on the sequence that the seams were welded. Then if it is not properly heat treated while still in the fixture, the material will crack right along the welds due to the heat affected zone around the weld bead caused by the change in the molecular structure from rapid heating and cooling. But when they slap out hundreds of these cheesy swingarms in china, they just don't care about quality, just $$.
