I'm sorry but i don't like the looks/design of the new lxr, i'm sure it performs great but somethin doesn't look right, its too big or too tall, somethin doesn look right. graphics look great though.

u need to c it on the ground. I have 70mm of sag . I will have to ask someone to snap a few for me 2marrow at havasu for my first ride on the bike

Looks awesome.

Is that the 14/12? Can't tell if the swingarm is shorter than the 17/14, I think it is supposed to be but that looks pretty long.

I really like my LXT, but I'd probably just go with the LXR in hindsight. The light kit is nice, but lots of wires to find a place for behind the headlight (and keep them from rubbing on stuff). The LXT comes with a lot of stuff (even the plastic sliders on pegs and for the axles that the motard version has).

I went through and greased the linkage, and my swingarm wasn't tightened properly (spacer in the middle was loose). Got all of those greased and locktited. Locktite your sprocket bolts (don't just tighten them). Wish I had.

I love the looks of these new Pitsters, even the small wheel sizes, more than older pitbike designs. The frame on the outside of swingarm is cool. And I don't care for aluminum spar frames.

I think you recommend the 25 pilot 115 main, is that the jetting you still recommend? I thought the stock pilot was larger than the 25 (black) but using magnifying glass it is smaller than the red and that was in the bike stock. So you probably need to jet up on pilot and main (if yours came like mine did). I'm trying to hunt down some larger mains to try (110, 115). The keihin hex jets fit the threads but are too long.

I had to also adjust valves (no clearance). Haven't taken off clutch cover and checked those items, but intend to do so. Also had packing out of exhaust cap and body but some high temp. silicone fixed that. Also you may want to glue those black rubber swingarm caps in place. I lost one on first ride.

I know once I get through the setup (taking me awhile as this is my first), I'll love this bike even more. I also like how Pitster is developing professional looking website, with OEM parts area and everything.

So, how was your ride at Havsu??? Better then mine I hope!!! LOL!!! Bamm Bamm went Boom Boom.... But for the short ride I had it was awesome. I love the rear link... Looking forward to next Havasu race and even getting to race a full race! Thanks for all your help and I'll see you all soon!!! It is going to take a lot more to take out this old man!!! Tell Uncle Mike I'll be watching for him... LOL!!!
