pm firpower you phone number.......he can probably figure whats going on with it and help you.. He told me it has in time..compression is up and he has fuel, but not cranking.

he stumped me trying to figure whats was up...and my crystal ball is in the shop getting a bbk kit installed.

im stumped as well... its in time has very good compression the plug sparks when you kick it i even put a new plug in it.. i sprayed startig fluid in the carb still wont start?? yesterday out of the blue while kicking it it hit one time lick it wanted to start but tnever again

Are you ABSOLUTELY sure it is in perfect time? One tooth off in either direction will produce fantastic compression but still fail to start.

One thing that happened to me was interesting...bad gas. It wouldn't start on fluid either once the carb was full of bad gas. How did I know I had bad gas...because I dumped some on the ground and threw a match on it and the match went out.

ill check timing again but the mark dot on the cam sprocket faces the mark on the head at the 9 o'clock position and the key way on the crank faces the same way at top dead center... i do not have any marks on my flywheel at at all so i was told to do it this way at at top dead center..carb was emptied and new gas was put in already

At TDC, the cam marks must line up...not the other way around. So, my suggestion is, without any marks on the flywheel, is to take the spark plug out and put a pencil in there and rotate the motor until you know the piston is at TDC...rock it back and forth and be absolutely sure it is at TDC. Then, validate that your cam timing is correct. I've never seen a flywheel that doesn't have any marks on it. Better make one when you have it sorted out.

Also, make sure that your pilot jet in your carb is not plugged up.

Keyway on crank is too "iffy" to be able to determine TDC. You said you got a new carb...well, maybe put the old carb back on and see how it runs. If the only variable you have changed is the valve in the head, stands a reason that it should run. You have introduced more variation by putting a new carb on there. And because the inner rotor doesn't have timing marks, you can't be 100% positive you have the cam timing correct....you could be off a tooth.

I've used an inner rotor before...but I first set my timing with a regular flywheel and then bolt the inner rotor on. I am sure you don't have luxury at this point.

I assume the motor ran fine up until the bent valve...that would suggest that your ignition and flywheel are working properly. So the only things left are fuel and timing.

bike ran but never ran right i assume it always had a bent valve when i got it it did not run installe dthe carb then it ran would but you had to roll into the gas to take off or it would choke out and die... i think ijust finished it over over reving it trying to adjust on the carb
