We just got the bike Friday (3 days ago) so it will be tested for a couple of weeks and we will place our roller order for spring. You will not see these bikes until the beginning of May. If you cannot wait... then buy something else... If you can wait... then you can save some jack on our new stuff.

We report what we are told at the YX factory... If they are late then it is what it is. You do not need us as ANYONE can buy containers from them directly.

I'll tell you right now what I do not like about the TTR 110... 8" travel in the front & 9.8" travel in the rear. That sounds like a crazy geometry to me? No modern day MX bike has 2" more travel in the rear... Just look at the crf 150 numbers... they are =? Maybe they need longer forks (showa's) or a shorter rear shock? hmmmm?

My money is still on the $888 clone as the best value on the market... It is not trendy but it is cheap and gets the job done with no surprises. Just my worthless opinion... bob

Seems like you got the bike and it isn't what you were expecting so you are trying to push people back to the other bikes?? is there something wrong with it??? I am not trying to start anything I am just wondering because your post seems a bit fishy????

I think Bob was only getting at the fact that the clone 12" roller is a proven value, and the linkage bike is being "tested" meaning when testing is done changes may be made to improve the bike. Why is this so hard for folks to understand ??

We are putting the motor in it later today and will ride it by Sunday. I do not know what it will handel like... Yet?

Nothing fishy at alll... but does'nt that 1.8" travel difference sound strange to you:????

Review 65cc and 85cc travel specs yourself and you'll see that the shock or fork may need to be adjusted for an (easy) travel change is all I am saying. With all the mx, sx, ax experts on this board you would think we could get some intellegent discussion going around weather the bike should have 8" ...or 9.8" ...of travel. Do I care at all what the travel number is? No, I just want it to make sense. And right now the suspension spec. confuses me just a bit.

Comments on this anyone? Be kind... as I do not own a bunch of these bikes yet. Can we fix it? Yes! If I am waaay wrong here then someone please correct me ASAP.

not at all with proper geometry the rear should have longer travel than the front...plus add the 2 inch of riding sag and the travel is right ooon.

Wow two more months of waiting sounds bad though..good luck you guys.

Them fishy Yamaha MX'ers have more rear than front travel too. Used to be real common practice.

Linkage progression curve is WAY more critical than absolute travel. Remember the falling rate early Uni-Quack Kaws, or the Pro-stink Honda's that had so much curve they wouldn't bottom on a dare and spit linkage bolts like crazy? I was winning regularly on my A-armed Yams...

So far, the only criticism that should be floating around about the bike is that it's being hyped (way?) before the details get sorted and the ship comes in. Unless the forum feedback aboot a couple pics and possible specs is being used for "Product Development"...

When Yamaha brought out their mono shock and raced and won the World Championship, was it because of the mono shock? No it was just that they had more travel in the back which gave them a huge advantage over the other bike's of the time.Too many product's are released before proper testing/refinement's are done, even spring sound's early.
