Just got my TB auto clutch, but do I need to replace the spacer that goes betweent the engine case and small sprocket?? I have to remove the large sprocket if I do replace it. I did however put the new sleeve and small sprocket that came with the kit on.

Just want some info before I put it back together.....I didn't know if it was a necessary part to replace or not. Newbie Q.....I know. I searched this topic also, not to much info.

*****EDIT: The part im talking about is the stepped collar and goes behind the primary gear.*****

Ok, I just put it back together and used the new stepped collar also.

It's some what hard to get into neutral from first and when I shift from neutral to first and just sit still the bike wants to roll forward. I loosened up the clutch nut adjuster and unscrewed the adjustment screw about as far as I could, but it didn't seem to help much. Did I tighten the actual clutch nut up too much?

I adjusted it as far out as reccommended and it's maybe a hair better. When I clutch up like in the video it doesn't want to go that bad at all, but when I drop it in gear it want's to creep forward. If I give it gas and let off and stop the bike and let of the brake then the bike really creeps forward.

It needs to wear in a little. I had the same problem as did others with the TB HD Auto clutch.

Run it for a few hours and it will get better. Mine was the same way, like you could not disengage the clutch enough. It would actually stall the engine with the brake on and in gear. It's better now after a few hours use but when it's cold it still creeps a bit but it's getting better every ride.

Gotcha. It stalls while sitting in 2nd gear. I just want to make sure I don't mess anything up. I might tear it back down and check the torque though. Can't hurt.

dood told me not to tighten the clutch nut to 30lbs cause it crushes something then you have to buy a new one. i cant remember what its suppose to crush be he said just tighten it to like 15lbs and its fine. i trust him cause he knows his shiit.

im not saying thats whats wrong with yours but thats what i was told about the clutch nut torque spec

it is the washer that goes behind the clutch hub nut (the nut that requires the special socket and is also the one you are torquing to spec);)
