Okay so I know that pc is cheaper but which one will hold up better. Will either on of them fade over time while there on your bike like when you wash it and chemicals get on it. What are some +'s and -'s about both.

Thanks,

Derek

Well what are you planning on having done. I will tell you the little I do know. You cant anodize anything steel, only aluminum. Anodizing will hold up better and doesnt chip as easy as powder coat. Anodizing can fade if left in excessive sun etc..

Hope this helps

Well the rear is a stock klx 110 or I have a stock kx 60 wheel. And the front is a ktm 65
Do you know if they are steel? Sorry, i am not familiar with those wheels. I would strongly encourage you to not powder coat your wheels, but who knows, if done right it may hold up

Each one has their own intended application and situations where one works better then the other. On that list id do the wheels and depending upon which triple trees anno those and thats about all you can get away with anno... Anno is meant for aluminum and most of your stock components wont anno

As i learned today, just got some parts back from the powder coater/ anodizer. I had about 10 parts (that i thought were all billet) anodized, but one part was cast. It turned black in the acid bath. You can't anodize cast parts because of the impurities in the aluminum. So about 99% of your OEM parts wont take the anodizing. And if it does it WONT be the look your thinking it will be.

My honest opinion, anodizing is for bling*, Powder coating is for longevity. If your part is going to be abused, go with powder coating. There are powder coaters that can make the part almost look anodized. BVC is an advertiser on here, his work looks pretty good. Give him a shout.
