134cc piston size?

Well im giving my extra cylinder to my friend to get bored out to accept a 134 piston from trailbikes.What size should i have him bore it to? 58.??

If you could just measure a TB 134 piston that would be good as well.

Everywhere but (most guy's

) minis, the jug is bored to match the piston and it's EXACT size, plus desired clearance.

Yes I know that which is why I need to know the size of the piston.I know I need to add in the clearance to set the proper piston-cylinder clearance.

I've seen minor variations... Why not wait until piston and jug are at the machine shop?

58mm is the target bore size, but if it's off, what's the worst that could happen???

Because he has a opening in the machine in 3 days when he could do it and theres no way I can get a piston in that time.Do you have a 58mm TB piston you could measure for me?

I sure he can but overnight is $$$$.Mikes always gone out of his way to help me.I just cant see spending $30 shipping on a $50 piston.Just need someone to take a mic and measure one for me.

ur better off just waiting to have it done right. every piston could be off a little bit +/-.

its a 58mm piston, your gonna want a .0025 cleareance between the cylinder wall and the piston, all pistons are not equal, plus your gonna have to bore the cylinder and then put the piston in to make sure you have the right clearance...

do you think so? thats the spec dood gave me plus its not a full bridge on the piston to the connecting rod, its only a cutout version, it would be different if it were a full bridge

most piston to cylinder wall clearance will vary between .001 to .006 inches, you dont want the bore to be too tight otherwise it will get so hot that it will seize

i would go .0015 for the clearance and yes you need the piston. they are all different when it comes down to size

Well who else makes a 58mm piston?TB apparently has discontinued their 58mm pistons.

Athena make a 130cc piston, probably for around 50
