So I scored Motoshop Z / Honda50.com a 10 by 10 booth for a car show in the underground parking lot of Japan town San Francisco for next Sunday 2-8-09.

The plans to bring out my custom mini collection and a few select other bikes from friends in the area to promote custom minis at a venue that's pretty much import tuner cars, models, JDM stuff, etc . It should be interesting to see what kind of response the bikes get. I know there has been some custom ruckus's there in the past but i dont think there has really ever been monkey bikes, chalys, apes, or ZB's at these types of events.

SO>... to make a long story drag on just a bit longer, I realized just how far from ready my bikes were to be shown just last week and got going on things this weekend. The Chaly needed so much and the apes still got a good amount to get done before the show.

Yesterday and today I focused mainly on buttoning up the Chaly. all the little things really added up to take me much longer then I thought.

Cables -check

polish the triple -check

install Japan type tail light and wire -check

come up with a rear brake stay linkage -check

wiring -check

fule lines -check

The bikes still not 100% but its just about ready to show to the public.

The APEs new custom springs for its KSR forks should be arriving this week so with all hopes ill have the new front end on for it for the show. I also changed the tail light location for the 3rd time and also relocated the license plate.

Would you believe it, im not bringing the ZB.. that poor bike it gets no love from me. lol

Nice bike. It definately should draw alot of attention. That carb would make me a little nervous though. If a little rock or small debris got in your engine, that could be horrible. Maybe you could make a mesh cover or something; like the early ct70 carbs had. Just to keep the big stuff out.

Your gonna blow peoples minds and 6 months from now every import tuner guy will have a tricked out Chaly or APE.

Now if that actually happened things would really get really interesting.

the red on the carb sticks out, could polish or paint it or just not touch it and assume red is the accent, nice ass chaly though

Humm, I think your right, it can sort of draw your eye away from the purple white thing going on. I may have to do a little touch up. Good thing i have the spare base silver and purple paint that the painter custom mixed.

Thanks for the comment, and im aware of this risk and when the bike is finished and on the road it will most likely have a custom stack with a screen.

I am amazed that after building bikes at the level you do, people actually think you don't know about protecting the intake or failed to notice your carb is red and the bike purple.

Absolutely cracks me up...

Hey Brad, don't forget to run oil in your motor or bad things can happen. I can get purple oil for the Chaly so it will match.

I was thinking the same thing. When ever we really need a hard question answered we go to Dan or Brad. But as usual Brad was cool about it.

Here is my chance to return the favor.

-Don't forget to oil the grips and lube the tires. Purple of course.

looking forward to some show pics.

you'll have a wide selection of minis for the import guys to gawk over.

did you get cards stickers and shirt done up?

if you need extra man power let me know.

Don't forget to put gas in it, might need some of that, they sell it at gas stations.;-)

there is another really good brans called [spelling????] Chaffers, a friend is an avid bike rider said they sell purely by word of mouth apparently this stuff last longer as in you can go longer with out an oil change or something, said he give some.

Why not show the zb? I think it is the nicest looking of all of your bikes. Then the monkey coming in a close second.
