Hey guys, just got a new klx110 and i need some help. Ive been off pitbikes for about 3 years, riding strictly big bikes. I used to ride a built crf50, even did some local races.

With the KLX it seems like there are so many more options when it comes to suspension and i dont know where to start. I was thinking about doing kx60 forks w/ an ishock. What kind of spring rates can i go front and back? I weigh 150 lbs and ride pretty aggressive. Im also kinda on a budget and would like to keep the cost low as possible.

What do you guys think? ANy other ideas for forks or shocks that are decent and can take abuse but wont break the bank?

Thanks for the help!

Hi,

just go with Take manual clutch (stay on 3 speed), a FMF Pipe, Kitaco springs for the front end a fox (or Ishock) for the rear and a ProTaper klx bar and you're on fire.

You should stay on a grand or 'lil more...

Im trying to stay under $500 for all my suspension. I was thinking either kx60 forks or just stiffening up the stockers. How much would difference would i feel with stiffer spring and dampening rods?

Its already got a bar kit and WB exhaust, a big bore will come later! Im so excited i forgot how much i love riding pitbikes! cant wait to get it set up so i can really ride it!

Yes the kx60 forks will slide right into your stock clamps. kx65 WONT. and yes you will need to send out your forks to get sprung. Im not really sure what the spring rate is, but who ever you have do the springs will know what to put in according to your body weight. In the classifieds a couple guys have full kx65 front ends for around $400. The kx 65 forks are little bit longer and the tubes are thicker.
