what is the best engine for a crf that will bolt on? thats not like 4000 lol

There are so many options out there right now. Start narrowing it down by:



1 - price

2 - power your looking for/type of transmission you want

3 - class your racing in (if your not racing then disregard that)

What kind of front end and rear end are you running on your 50? If you get something with a retarded amount of power and aren't set up for it, it will be absolutely no fun to ride.

go to tboltusa.com 86cc gpx or lifan for only $289.00, get a g2 cam and your set!

Trail bikes race head 88cc kit and you'll still have money for an exhaust and rev box.Or if you already have an exhaust use the extra money and upgrade to the 108.

sorry, these guys are correct! I misread your post. I thought that you needed the entire engine.

Go for something around a 114-124cc then, there are a bunch of engines on our site you can read up on!

would a gpx 160 be too much for the bike to handle ? sorry im such a noob

Lifan 150 would be awesome, and they're in the $500-$600 range.

You will need good suspension first if you are going with a 160

the gpx 160cc is a good engine but it has a hefty price tag of $589.00 plus jets, and clutch perch and lever and cable. You can spend $329.00 and get a gpx 125 which is the work horse engine of the industry. I personally would not put the 160cc engine to put into a stock suspension, brakes, and frame crf 50; it's a waste of money unless your willing to upgrade everything! But its your money! The GPX 86cc is also very inexpensive and you can pic one up for hardly anything. Anyhow, good luck

thanks everyone for the help so If iwere to put a gpx 160 would bbr sp5's and a i shock be suitable

No dude, don't just get the biggest engine you can find even though I know thats what you want to do. Trust me when I say a 50 with too much power is not as much fun to ride as one with just the right amount of power.

AND dont get the GPX get the OGM160 The GPX style head has the exhaust and the intake of a KLX your honda stuff wont bolt up.. IE carb and pipe... BUT THE ogm engines heads are styled like your honda and EVERYTHING will bolt up correctly from your honda stuff.. I just put a OGM160 in my 50...
