You shouldn't have to go that far to be honest. If you have it on there at the correct torque, you should be able to hold it with one hand, put a rachet on it with the other, and smack the ratchet with a hammer. If that doesn't work, some larger oil filter wrenches are good for holding them.

the chinese whoever that torqued it on there put it on very tight. my dads electric impact drill wouldn't do it, hitting the socket wouldn't do it, and none of our oil filter holders were big enough.



when I did get it to break free I smashed my knuckles together, it was quite tight. I had to tighten the the c clamp with a 24 inch piece of 1/2 inch iron pipe



I got the nut off the IRK with my dads electric impact drill, first try
