1/24/2009 Mini Moto Race at Salem State Fairgrounds.

There will be a Pit Bike race at the Salem State Fairgrounds on November 15th, this Saturday. Cost is $20 and practice starts at 6pm.



I was just at the track and it looks really nice and confirmed that this event will take place.

I also want to make it clear that I personally spoke with the track operators and they confirmed that "this" pit bike race will take place. Locals might note some other planned pit bike events falling through.:(



The track looked great when I looked at it last night.

I just for the first time heard about the race when Josh True posted a myspace bulletin on Wednesday. I'd think that at least one of the race sponsors would be a member on Planet Minis and tell people to come to their race.

There are some ideas kicking around... not 100% sure but the race WILL happen, no worries.







Also guys, looks like we have to bow out of this one. Forgot about something big we have to attend, so I'll be unable to make it. See if one of our riders can, but I'll have to catch everyone at the opening round of the Clark County Fairgrounds.

The last time I raced there, my oil drain bolt fell out and it locked up tight! Thank god I didn't ruin anything, after it cooled down it ran again but still, I was out for the race. Which sucks since I live about 4 hours away.

There seemed to be 30 or so riders and the track looked good. Some guys were double, double, doubling the big rythym on what looked like stock klx110s. I didn't hang around to watch the races because i was too pissed off and didn't want to start throwing things.:(



My brother went out and rode his pos china bike for a while and had fun.
