I dont want to start any drama here but, what do you think?

MM16 Stock /Mod play bikes (CRF/XR150/100,TTR125, DRZ125 and KLX 140)

The big brother of the pit bike family will make a welcome return to the Orleans Arena (they appeared in 2004)! This popular and growing category should become another staple of the biggest minibike race in the world. See rules on Minimotosx.com.

My question is this, should G2 Moto and Pitster Pro 14x17 and other 14x17 bikes be allowed to run in this class? Other brand owners step in and voice your opinion.

i know alot of the oldschool guy have these conversion bikes would be a shame not to let them run

Agreed

The below comment is irrelevant, since I read the rules:)

With the adamant exclusion of any cradled bikes in "pitbike" racing, I think it would be tough to swallow a purpose-built laydown racer allowed run with the FooFoo bikes... Maybe with no aftermarket heads?

I'd rather see handbuilt re-framed verticals than out-of-the Chinese crate 200cc V2's

I see where fire power is comming from, But also think that since Minimoto mostly bases their rules on tire size I feel the tires should dictate.

There is nothing stopping them from modding those other bikes is there?

Next question, since Pitster makes a 110 semi auto as a production bike, it should be allowed to run against the other stockers in that class.

No way, I'm trying to convince my buddy to bring his roached out 94 XR80 to race (he RAILS on it) and there would be no point if a 17/14 Pitster showed up with a 195 4 valve pushing 25hp. Might as well let 150R's race.

are all the above bikes true closed cradle frames? or with the skid plate off is there a gap?

There are details in both directions. Rules need a little hammering out...

My sad little XR100 based job wouldn't stand a chance against a near 200cc and 20hp 125/140/150 based deal anyway. Would a non-v2 110 Pitster?
Pitser offers two 110 versions, a MXR110R and an MXe110 one is a race clutch "klx" head based engine, the other is a 110 e start semi auto that is designed to hit the ttr/klx110 AND crf70 smack in the face.

The problem I see with your 110 auto is it was designed as a adult/kids high performance race bike, the motor might be on the mellow side but not the chassie.A stock klx is designed for a 8 year old kid to play on.

So stock a klx has

4hp

4 inches of travel/a-style swingarm

drum brakes

Yours starts with

6/7hp

9"travel fully adjustable front and rear

disc brakes

Quick FYI..

The Pitster Pro MX 110 is a semi auto E-start 12x14 designed for 8 yr old kids, not adults. So yeah the TTR/KLX/ Pitster Pro MX 110 are all designed for kids.

The LXR 160 is designed for adults.
