Keep your filter. I have only changed my filter 3 times in the year i've owned my bike because pulling the skid plate is a pain. But I have changed the oil 5 or 6 times. I feel like a lot of oil gets puked out the vent tube so I am always adding, counts as changing too right?

You guys need to buy a damn manual. If oil is puking out it's because you have too much in it to begin with. Warm the bike up, drain the oil (let it sit and drain for awhile), and fill it back up with the correct measured amount. Change your oil every 3 or 4 rides and change the oil filter every other time you change the oil. And yes, spend the 8 bucks on an oil filter.

I'm never buying a used bike again!

as long as nothing breaks or comes apart inside you would be fine. (seeing as the oil is changed fairly frequently)

Although it is NOT the preferred way to run a motor!

For the people who say that it will destroy the motor... didn't CHP get rid of the oil filter entirely on Willys bike?!!!?!!!

a four stroke bike like a 110 does not need the filter changed every other time you change oil. you can run the filter along time with no problems what so ever. some people change there oil way too often on these bikes and are just wasting money. and whats to measure? put the full quart of oil in which the manual calls for.

but i would run the filter. its put there for a reason.

Removing the filter won't ruin the motor a day or probably a month. It's there to filter out the larger particles of dirt, metal, and other crud in the oil before it cycles back through the motor. A larger chunk could clog your oil line and stop the flow of lubrication to the top end.

Willy's race bike was probably torn down and inspected every 10 hours or less, and he doesn't have to pay to fix it if it breaks. What works for factory riders does not necessarily work for Joe the plumber (or 110 rider).

Just my opinion, take it or leave it.

You think taking 4 bolts out is a pain?

Let me know when you want to sell your bikes. I want it bad!

I only put one quart of oil in, so I know i'm not adding too much. Changing the skid is a pain because its been tweaked from trail riding. It is difficult to put the bolts back in and not cross thread them. And I am never selling my bike, because even riding it a handful of times a year is better than losing my a$$ on the money I put into it.

where is the oil filter located at? i change my oil in my bike every 3 rides and have done it twice since i have owned my bike.. about to do the 3rd time here before this weekend. i looked for the oil filter, never found it so was like hmm prob dosen't have one.. i know im a retard hahaha.. anywhoo yep guess its time to change the filter..
