robbieyukon said:Keep your filter. I have only changed my filter 3 times in the year i've owned my bike because pulling the skid plate is a pain. But I have changed the oil 5 or 6 times. I feel like a lot of oil gets puked out the vent tube so I am always adding, counts as changing too right?

Warm the bike up, drain the oil (let it sit and drain for awhile), and fill it back up with the correct measured amount. Change your oil every 3 or 4 rides and change the oil filter every other time you change the oil. And yes, spend the 8 bucks on an oil filter.
I'm never buying a used bike again!

Although it is NOT the preferred way to run a motor!
For the people who say that it will destroy the motor... didn't CHP get rid of the oil filter entirely on Willys bike?!!!?!!!
