Should I put my 87Z back to stock?

Is it worth more in stock form than the modified state I have it in currently?

I saved all of the stock parts I removed over the years, so I still have everything (minus the fenders, those were pretty much shot).

Currently it has an Icon 50 4spd bottom end with a TB 88 race head kit (old style) and a TB manual clutch. The rest you can see for yourself. I don't ride it very much anymore so I am wondering if it would be better off put back to completely stock form.

any opinions?

Thanks,

the bike looks good,if you are having fun.KEEP IT doesn't look bad,so unless are totaly sick of it keep it!!!other wise sell it ttttttttttttttoo me

If you plan to sell it, then it's probably worth more stock. Z50R's don't go for much when modified unlike CRF50's which double or triple in value with aftermarket stuff. But unless you are short on cash, why sell it? You never know, someday you might want it back.

Scott,

Just hold onto the stock parts. It's going to be a very, very long time until the 1979+ models bring big bucks. We are just starting to see now the 1972-1978 models slowly go up in value, but the hardtails will always rule the roost (minus the chrome 1986 models).
