If so...

You should have black and whit coming out of the pickup,

white goes to white and black goes to red and white,

yellow and a solid green go to the coil,

the other solid green grounds to the frame,

one killswitch wire grounds to the frame and the other also goes to red and white,

hope this helps

use the take setup (adjustable assembly and the "takegawa" rotor)with you irk cdi and coil instead of the china rotor and plate...or have you already ??

btw after giving some thought, the last time we spoke on the phone you stated that you would be running this in the street, right ?? You may not want to even run an irk unless on the track, purely preferance but imo a mildly lightened flywheel and std. stator setup for lights would be ideal for you.....just a thought

Its a motard bike so I could care less about lights.

I have tried everything and still nothing, I just dont get it. I am just going to order another IRK and see if that works.

Unless I can find someone who will sell just the coil from the Takegawa inner rotor, I may try that

Had a $40 China IRK in my tb108 worked great never skipped a beat, tore it down to build a tb117, tried to fire it up after spending a few bucks getting the cases bored and a mikuni flat slide carb. would not fire, tried f*ckin' with the carb because I was getting spark at the plug when it was resting on the head and kicking it over. Put my stock stator and other ignition parts in, fired right up first kick. If it's a china IRK, buy another one for $40 and save yourself 2 weeks of aggravation

I had an old china irk that I tried first with no luck, Then I ordered a brand new one and it didn't work either. Either I have terrible luck with IRK's or that's not the problem. I just ordered a 3rd one so we will see.

I also tried the Takegawa inner rotor and it did not work also. I dont really count that one though since I was trying to hook it up to the china cdi. I dont have the takegawa coil but I am looking for one.

By the time im done ill have tried 200.00 worth of china irk's :(

no, but I tried 2 sets of IRK's, cdi's and coils so I doubt thats the problem.

Can anyone feel spark on the wires going to the coil or know how many volts there is supposed to be at that end.

so youve tried kicking the motor over and tried to get it started? or are you just checking spark? if you tried to kick start it with no luck, have you checked to make sure your cam timing isnt 180 off?

just trying to throw things out there to help you out with this guessing game.

all I have tried to do was get spark so far. I always do that first so I dont kick a hundred times wondering why it wont start. I have hooked that irk up every way you can and they only wire that has any juice is the black one coming out of the stator. Once it goes to the cdi all power is lost.

Even if cam timing was off there would still be spark.

I ordered 1 more irk so we shall see

Thanks for all the advice!!!

That's what I thought so I wired it every way you can. These are the easiest things to wire up, you almost cant do it wrong.

Both cdis are matched to china IRK'S. One worked when I pulled it off another engine a few months ago, and one was brand new.

Im in the same situation right now. Yet, im getting spark and it still wont fire. My bike just gets saturated in fuel. Iv tried jetting, re-wiring x3, and used other ignitions. Im going to try the timing now, but after that ill just send it back and get another.
