what adjustments are necessary for a monkey/z50r front wheel, in the crf50 front forks? thanks

The Z50 wheel will not fit on the stock XR/CRF50 front forks, they are too narrow for the wider wheel. I used the Z50A front forks with the XR/CRF +1 HD fork legs and springs on the XR/CRF frame. It is a direct bolt-up, as seen on the bike below.

Actually, that's not entirely true, the front forks from the '68-'71 hardtail Z50a models have a taller steering stem and do not fit on the XR/CRF50 frames

I was considering doing the Z50 wheels again on my stunt 50 and I realized I never updated with my completed carbon fiber CRF50Z. Definitely possible and even go with disc brakes.

Thanks! Was a fun project and even though I sold that street legal one, I still have my stunt fiddy. Seeing this thread again, kind of want to repeat the Z50 wheels on it now that I see it again. But I have my Superlite SLC to build so won't happen anytime soon.

I designed, drew and cut out those graphics back then. They're based on the OEM graphics with and changed up to call it a CRF50Z since it was half and half.

What wheels and size are you running? Got some close up of them?
