If you have a Z50 with a lighting coil, all you would need is a 6V to 12V regulator/rectifier to run 12V lighting and charge a battery. You would only need the crank adapter if you intend to use one of the new outer rotors with a lighting coil, for the flywheel to fit on the crank end. If you want to use a conventional 12V stator and flywheel, you have to grind away part of the left side engine case, for the pulse trigger to fit when you install the stator plate, and you still would need the adapter.
