Hi all, can anyone tell me if a 1980 CR80 swingarm will fit a 1977 XR75K4? Or can it be made to fit without to much modification?

Looks like it's out with the hacksaw and mig welder! Nothing to be lost by trying it.

Been around these old xrs for years
the early Yamaha yz 80 mono shock swing arms just about bolt straight up then you can modify the frame to take the shock
or bloke in Queensland fabricates alloy swing arms he has the old DG racing jigs they turn out same as the ones in the 70s
just depends on how much cash you want to throw at it
then there XRMINIRACER in USA they do alot of aftermarket race bits and frame mods

Thanks Sarge, I really want to keep it twin shock, just a bit reluctant to pull the XR apart to take measurements, but I will need to. The CR80 swingarm is around 45mm longer and the lower mounts are forward, I thought it would be a better match for the CR80 forks I am about to fit.
