Question ... I believe the 1986 CR80 is the only front end swap that will bolt straight on to the XR that has a front disk brake. They are difficult to find complete where people do not want an absolute fortune for them. I know the 84 and 85 still have a drum but are triple the same? IE can i use a 84 triple with 86 forks and wheels? What about the forks themselves minus the lower on the brake side? Can I get 84 forks and just get an 86 lower with caliper mounts?

Well I don't think anyone makes a conversion kit anymore to go to the newer upside down style forks (TK used to right?) and I have to try and keep the budget down. These bikes only see tarmac use on kart tracks in my hands so they don't take quite the abuse a MX ridden bike would. Rear shock linkage geometry does suck but short of the hybrid setup you kinda just have to live with it.
