I’m building a bike reliable bike that my 6 yr old can ride/beat on instead of his race bike, 2019 cobra cx50 Sr. Basically something that he can put a ton of hours on that won’t require as much maintenance.

We have a 2003 XR 70. Be bottoms the suspension out all the time. It’s gut less out of corners...

I plan on doing a TB 108.

I need to figure out the suspension. Should I source XR80 forks and triple? Or do the xr80 dampening rods with top out springs? And what should I do for a shock? He only weighs 60 lbs. if I do the 80 forks i’ll need a swingarm to level it out.

He can get away with about 28” seat height.

Any recommendations would be appreciated...

Get springs, bbr or other brand. 88cc kit with v2 head will do it. Will need the HD clutch/billet clutch. Save you from splitting the cases. That should be enough for a lightweight to send it.
