I recently purchased a larger size set of 14" /17" inch rims for my SSR140 TR. When I receive them in the mail today and compared the hubs to my existing rims I noticed one difference. on my stock rims the wheelbearings sit flush with the edge of the hub. On the new wheels the bearing is recessed in about 1/8" and surrounded by a rubber seal. my wheel spacers fit perfectly on the axle as they are 15 mm, however, The outer diameter of my wheel spacers are larger than the recessed area of the outer edge of the wheelbearings on the hub. Because of this it appears there will be an approximate 1/8 inch Gap between my wheel spacer and the wheelbearings on each side of the hub and I can see this causing an issue. Just wanted to know if anyone has dealt with this before and how they resolved it. I have some extra aluminum wheel spacers. Can I simply make a 1/8 inch spacer and stick it on either side of my new hubs? I would post pictures but I cannot figure out how to post pictures from an iPhone to this forum.
