As the title says, Im looking to put mods on a LXR 160 that im getting. I would like to be able to just 30-50ft table-tops at the local mx track. Anyone recommend any shocks, forks, kits, ect. that I should put on the bike? Thank you!
I'm not sure what spring is on the LXR DNM rear shock stock. But they offer 2 of them. A 300 and a 320 I think. The 320 is the one for riders over 200Lbs.
Also you can use RAD wheels KTM65 rims with the stock hubs and spokes.
184 kit from TB I think would make it a 177cc.
New pipe. I kinda like the stock pipe.
New bars and grips.
You can look at some marzocchi shivers and showa and some others for even better front ends but the stock setup is kick ass if you ask me.
You can also look in to other rear shocks. I have not really looked too much but most of what I can find is for the non linkage style bikes.
Any way if you look around and search the forum you will find a bunch of LXR's to get ideas from.
Do all your check list stuff. Check every bolt every nut. Make sure there are no washers where they do not go. Mine had washers between the swing arm and the chain guide pushing the chain over and off the rear gear. Check the cam gear and the 2 bolts in side the cam gear cover opening that go through the head and jug in to the case. If they are not tight you will loose oil out of the stator cover. Make sure your chain master link is pointing the right way.
