roadwarrior,

your carb has a drain tube at the bottom of the carb float bowl..
this is to allow the carb to be drained of fuel as needed..
make sure the drain tube screw at the top of the drain tube is not loosened (except when draining the carb)..
also be sure to use proper starting technique, do not open the throttle (much) when starting..
a read over of the manual may help as well..

engine is 49 cc this happened the first time I started it.

turns out I just flooded the engine and the tube is in the right place and I did push the throttle to much .I talked to a tech at motoped this morning he said this happens alot when u first start it up they are working on a more flat angled carb placement in the future so this might help with the problem of the air filter which was also leaking fuel as well but anyway thank you for your help I will be buy a longer tube for it thou only 3 inches at the moment
