Bought this little quad for my kids. New carb and thing runs like a champ. Rear brakes are an issue. Pull the hand lever and it stays- no spring back. Took it apart and I think it needs a new cable, but cannot find one anywhere. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Did you try lubing the old cable?

Maybe try taking apart the rear brake assembly, cleaning everything, replacing the shoes, and lightly greasing the rear brake cam (part #6, below).
