ports and combustion chamber are different too.

the V2 head it a full roller rocker head,
the Race head aka the V1 is just a bigger valve and port KLX head,
the V2 with the right carb on a 165 can get you 16+hp
the V1 is more like 12-13 hp
With the 165 kit and a v2 head look in to a de-comp cam.

Definatley go with the v2 head. I have ridden both the racehead and the v2 head and the v2 has alot more power.

im gonna get the 143 kit from tb i just play on my bike but i am 240lbs is there anything i NEED to swap out or is that kit good for me?
What year is the bike? If it's not an '08 then you will need a HD out put shaft. Also while your in there you might as well do the stroker crank and the 4spd drum/shift star.
