IT WAS DEFIDENTLY THE INST I HAVE NO DOUBT. THE OIL PUMP DIDNT PRIME. MINE DID I GOT FROM TAKE BUT THIS ONE DIDNT. HE TOOK IT OFF PRIMED IT NOW IT OILS FINE.

BUT NO ONE IS BLAMING THE PARTS JUST LOOKING FOR THE CHA\EAPEST WAY TO FIX.

MAINLY WONDERING IF XR50 OR 70 ROCKER ARMS WILL WORK. THE 50 ONES HAVE A SMALLER PAD BUT LOOK DIMENSIALLY THE SAME

Two issues on priming pumps

I never had to prime a pump until my last build. But I noticed that I did something incorrect anyway.

Make sure you are using the correct gasket on the oil pump. If you get a complete top end gasket kit, it usually containts 2 gaskets, one for a 6v and 1 for a 12 V. Make sure you use the 12v one.

YOu can also prime your oil pump after install. Fill the crankcase with oil. Then stick your airhose down the oil fill cap and cover it with your hand and blast in there. Instant prime as the oil is pushed up and into the pump.
