Alright here is the cheapest, best setup for an xr70! I got this swingarm on Ebay for $25!!! I didnt have to do any modifications to the swingarm. It was practically bolt on!! Im not done yet, all i have to do is make a new mount for the shock on the frame. Jetster220 and I are going to do that tomorrow. Considering the swingarm costed 5%-10% of any other swinger out on the market for a 70. The ride height now is going to be around 9"!!!!! Check the pics out :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

once it squats its not that bad. when we get the shock mounts on it will be more level. Also im going to get sp5 dampening rods to give it a lil extra.

Bust out the BBR SP5 damping rod set. Its like 90 bucks and it will give you another inch of suspension along with more ride height.
id say with like sum sr6's or mazarocchi forks itd be sweeet!

we havent got the mount on the frame for the shock right now, thats why it looks wierd. Oh and yea its a kx60 swinger....forgot to mention that!

The shock is pretty layed down but not much choice there, its because of how far back it mounts on the kx60 swingarm, shouldnt affect anything really though, I hope lol. And it looks like it will be stinkbug now but thats just because the rear is basically hanging there, no top shock mount yet, we are going to cut off the stock one and move it down and reinforce it. The only modifications we had to do to the frame was cut down where the swinarm mounts to the frame as the kx60 swingarm is slightly narrower. Other than that everything else bolted right up no problem. So far the only things we are looking to have to fab and make work is something for the rear brake as obviously the stock brake rod is now 4" to short, move the top shock mount location down to desired spot for increased wheel travel and ride height, and also a way to adjust the chain, and thats it, the only other thing we had to do to make it fit was grind down the rear wheel spacer. We cant wait to get it finished up and test ride it, hopefully today.
only worry would be the performance of that shock....i dont think its designed to be in that position.....
nice budget bike though.....definitly dont get sr6's or shivers up front...get some ghetto forks to match it up....lol

Actually it was designed to be in a similar position. The Paioli shock is what used to come on BBR SuperPro frames and thats what its off of. Should perform pretty good I think, well soon find out.
Where did you find the KX60 swinger?

Powdercoat or anodize that thing, before someone comes along and spray paints it for you.
