Do any of you guys have thumb throttles on your 50's? I saw this one 50 on ebay and I thought it was dumb at first but I am kinda starting to like the idea of a thumb throttle for wheelies. What do you all think?

I think one moves too much on a 50 for it to work. It may work for a bigger machine but a little 50 involves too much body movement and your thumb would miss the throttle a lot on quick tracks. It may work only for wheelies and stuff though...

Thats what i need right now becuase i have a broken right wrist and cant twist the throttle with my cast. Maybe ill get one so if i ever do break my wrist again ill still be able to ride my 50 and just take it off and put the the twist throttle back on once i get my cast off.

thumb throttle r for pussies and i would never run one. my sister would always complain that she couldnt ride a twist throttle and that she had to have a thumb throttle. so i guess i just think of a girl that is scared of things when someone says thumb throttle.

If you can't wheelie a 50 with a twist throttle you should just go but a tricycle. A 50 is very easy to wheelie, if blaming it on parts then there is something wrong with you. Sell it and take up swimming!

maybe you should just use a wheelie bar that way all you have to do is throw it back and ride on the wheelie bars......its like when u were 4 and tryin to ride your bicycle. but for that you used training wheels. maybe wheelie bar and training wheels would help boost your confidence.

i run a thumb throttle on my 50, i used 2 race professionally locally in so cal on quads, last year i got into 50s and when i got new bars i installed a 250R 4trx throttle on my 50, to me its a night and day difference cuz i have more control jumping bmx packs
