Hey guys,

I just started my TB 88cc kit with the head, oil pump and everything.. I've also got a Pro Circuit T-4 system..

It seems to be smoking a bit, moreso when it's cold..

I've only had the bike running for about 15 minutes, and it's seeming to calm down a little, but still enough that I'm concerned..

Is it just smoking because everything isn't quite seated yet?

Thanks!

Sounds to me like you didnt quite get the rings right, the 2 top rings are supposed to be 180 from each other otherwise some oil can get past them and it will smoke.

How serious is it if the rings aren't 180 degrees from each other?
Well, it wont blow your motor up if thats what your wondering. You will just always have the annoying slight mist of blue smoke from your exhaust because you are buring just alittle oil. I would say just leave it alone and not worry about it, it wont burn off enough oil to hurt anything long as you chain your oil reguarly anyways.

Plus you'll have the neat addition of a mosquito fogger, for those long voyages at night time.

Well, fixing it, would require him to take his whole motor apart and thats just a pain in the A$$ if you have to do it for no reason. If you can stand alittle smoke, leave it, if not, go for it and tear it back down and just make sure the rings are 180 of each other.
