Takegawa Hyper Cam Shaft ?

Okay I purchased a Takegawa Hyper cam shaft from a known vender from here but my question is, did I actually get a Takegawa hyper cam shaft...

Previously bought a TB 143cc kit, with a race head Tb race cam and cylinder, and 26mm carb, and all the common bolt ons,and the bike didn't seem to really gain that much power over stock... I've rejetted , changed timing, triple checked everything... still no noticable changes.

Called and talked to the guy i bought the kit from (not saying any names) and he told me the exact same kit on their race bikes and make 17whp. I asked about the cam change and he said the Tb race cam was fine. But i've read on here that the tb cam isn't much more than a stock cam.

I ordered a Takegawa hyper cam shaft from his site and it comes in... I download the install instructions to just double check the valve clearances are correct and i noticed the instructions say the cam has the name and part number on the end.

I called an asked about my cam if it was a true takegawa hyper cam and they said the new ones don't have anything printed on the cam.

So does anyone know about this , if the new Takegawa cams have a name or no name printed on the camshaft?

But after the install , still no difference in the power.

but heres the link i read the info about the cam install.

This doesn't really address your actual question, but for what it's worth here is my opinon...

Every motor mod I've done to my 110 I've thought...man, this is really going to make it fast! In reality, if you don't have a race head (preferably the roller rocker style) it's not going to seem all that much different in the seat in my opinion. The race head kit gives it some power, but it's still a little bike with +/- 17 hp. If you are coming off a 250f its going to seem like what it is...a kids bike with kid bike power. Have you compared it side to side with a stock 110?
I never saw a tak cam without #s but I could be wrong if something changed .I also don't think you will see 17whp with that bolt on kit either but I could be wrong there too.Their race bikes have more done to them than just bolting on that kit to get that hp.

Yes i have a stock 08 klx 110 , 3rd gear pulls, the stock one pulls my mod bike.

Question was about the cam shaft, if i actually received a Takegawa Hyper camshaft... instructions said the name should be printed on the cam

The one i received has no name or #'s on it.

I was told the new ones don't have any numbers on it, but i find that hard to believe.

well i'll just spill the beans, it came from faster minis, and i called and talked to the guy a few times about the kit since i've had it b/c something just isn't right, and thats where the Hyper cam came from also. Just wondering if the Takegawa camshafts have #'s and names on them... bc mine has none.
post up a pic of the cam

and yah no race head, it feels like stock. But it should pull the stocker.

hmm

faster minis is legit, i dont think they would rip you off.
If you have a 143 race head kit and your stocker is pulling your mod bike then something more is wrong than just the cam. Maybe your clutch is slipping. Do you have stiff clutch springs? Or is the clutch toast?

Again, this doesn't answer your question about identifying the cam. Just trying to help...
All my takegawa cams have #s so far and I don't know why they wouldn't mark it so it could be I.D.'d .What if they mixed up a couple boxes at the factory how would they know whats what?Have you tried asking another vendor about the #'s.
takegawa packages all their stuff in colorful packaging what did yous come in
Trail Bikes cam's don't have anything on them.

No clutch slippage, has heavy duty springs in it.

I'll go take pics of the cam, i have the engine back apart again.

I have a Tb stroker crank to go in and 4th gear shift drum.

Clear package with a takegawa sticker inside with the unmarked cam.

Its a race head, valves are clearly larger than the stock head...

A buddy of mine is a member on here and hes seen everything first hand over the past few days about all the stuff we have tried... still no luck

he keeps telling me to just go back stock... im considering it , b/c im tired of wasting money in the engine and its not making the power.
if it was a clear package ima guess they just took a trail bikes cam and threw it in a bag with a takey sticker just my guess
are you sure you know what bike is the stocker and what bike is the mod? lol
